How To Build A Mini V8? - Build Your Own Engine Model | EngineDIY
August 26, 2022A V8 engine is an eight-cylinder piston engine in which two banks of four cylinders share a common crankshaft and are arranged in a V configuration. The first known working V8 engine was produced by the French company Antoinette in 1904, while the American 1914–1935 Cadillac L-Head engine is considered the first automotive V8 engine to be produced in significant quantities. The popularity of V8 engines in cars greatly increased following the 1932 introduction of the Ford Flathead V8.
The V8 engine with a cross-plane crankshaft is a common configuration for large automobile engines. Due to its large external dimensions, V8 engines are typically used in cars that use a longitudinal engine layout and rear-wheel drive (or all-wheel drive). However, V8 engines have also occasionally been used in transverse engine front-wheel drive vehicles, sometimes using closer cylinder bore spacings and narrower cylinder bank angles to reduce their space requirements
What better way to see how a V8 engine works than to be able to see all of the part's moves? As you turn the crank, each of the parts moves, just like the real thing...
This mini V8 engine (2.5 x 2.4 x 2.2 inches), which adopts high-precision 3D printing technology, is of premium quality, rich texture, and authentic restoration. It features lots of delicate details, like the drive structure of belt wheel winding, generator, air conditioning compressor, steering pump, water pump, complete output flywheel, layered cylinder head, cylinder head cover, spiral near and far valve intake manifold, oil pan structure as well as power supply drive board plug interface. And, the model can be powered to simulate the real engine’s operation as the full bearing structure of the driving part is realized in the mini space while stability and reliability are also taken into account. It may require a few hours and enough patience to assemble, but the whole process is full of entertainment and a sense of achievement will be acquired after completed.
Steps for building your own engine:
1. Install the inner belt and starter.
2. Install the flywheel part to the cylinder block.
3. Install the motor cover and generator.
4. Install the power steering pump wheel part.
5. Install the tensioner wheel to the front cover of the cylinder.
6. Install the cylinder head to the main cylinder.
7. Install the crankshaft main wheel.
8. Install the compressor and oil pan.
9. Install the intake sump and throttle valve.
10. Install the intake duct and intake manifold.
11. Install the air intake part to the cylinder block.
12. Install the cylinder head cover.
13. Install the fuel rail.
14. Install the drive belt.
15. Install the ignition coil and spark plug connector.
It is definitely a good place for interested engine hobbyists and novices to begin. For ages 14 and up, the V8 model engine kit simulates a running engine and comes with dozens of parts, including crankshafts, pistons, pulleys, belts, pumps, etc. The smaller scale V8 also features ignition and light-up spark plugs. Again, it’s s not only a real car engine, but it still makes for a wonderful introduction to engine building for someone with little-to-no experience. Suitable for a variety of remote control car models, such as AX90104 SCX10II Capra VS4-10 Pro/Ultra and more. Installing this engine into your RC car will give it a more unique and domineering look, as well as make it stand out and perform the best in any competitive car races!
Isn’t that little thing awesome? For a hobby toy, this mini replica of a classic four-cycle eight-cylinder internal combustion engine is a pretty great learning tool. It really makes you respect the art of mini engine building and lets you mess around with cranks, pulleys, belts, and exhaust pipes to create a realistic-looking product. Not only does the DIY toy teaches you how the engine works, but also it develops the hands-on ability, creativity, and patience. From the assembly to the painting, it's all up to you! What’s more, the compact size makes this textured artwork a stunning display and decoration for home. It’s fun for one person or even the whole family to join in!
