Why Is the CISON V8/L4 Transmission a Game-Changer for RC Modders?

RC enthusiasts are always chasing smoother power delivery, faster shifts, and bulletproof reliability. But what if a single transmission could deliver all three—while fitting multiple engines? Enter the CISON V8 /L4 Transmission, a high-performance gearbox designed for serious modders. Let’s break down why it stands out.

Key Features:

1. Direct Gear - Flywheel Link with Adjustable Ratios

The gearbox connects directly to the engine flywheel via gears, and you can swap out the gear ratios.

2. Multi - Plate Steel Clutches per Gear

Each gear in this gearbox comes with multiple steel clutch plates. These ensure there's enough friction during gear changes, resulting in smooth and reliable power delivery. No more missed gears or jerky shifts!

3. Reverse Drive in Transfer Case

The transfer case has a reverse drive function, making it compatible with most model car brands. It's a versatile addition that broadens the range of vehicles this gearbox can fit into.

4. Multiple Forward Gears and Easy Speed Switching

With three forward gears in the gearbox and high - low speed options in the transfer case, you can switch between them on the fly. It's like having 3×2 forward gears at your disposal, giving you more control over your car's speed and power.

5. Four - Clutch Design for Seamless Fit

The four - clutch design ensures a perfect match between the gearbox's structure and the power interface. You can install it without any extra modifications, saving you time and effort.

6. Built - in Brake

No more worrying about where to install the brake when modifying your oil - powered car. This gearbox has its own brake system, simplifying the modification process.

7. Integrated Steering Servo Mount

Arranging the steering servo position can be a headache during car modifications. But with this gearbox's built - in mount, that problem is solved. You can focus on other aspects of the upgrade.

Advantages Over Traditional Transmissions :

1. Seamless Power Shifting

Scenario: Your crawler’s climbing in 2nd gear but hits an obstacle. Instead of clutching in, braking, and shifting (3 steps!), just click—done.

2. Fail-Safe "Open" Clutch Design

Defaults to disengaged (unlike cars), critical for RC emergencies.

3. Zero Engine Strain

Clutch pressure doesn’t load the crankshaft, prolonging engine life.

4. Instant Reverse

Shift to reverse without stopping—perfect for tight trails.

5. Brutal-Launch Capable

(But please don’t—your drivetrain will thank you.)

Why Not Traditional Car Pressure Plate Clutches?

1. Compatibility with CISON V8 Engine

The CISON V8 engine is small. To get enough clutch friction, we'd need high - tension springs or spring plates. Applying pressure to these could burden the crankshaft or cause power loss. That's why we went with a different clutch design.

2. Open to Future Improvements

We're not ruling out pressure plate clutches. If we find a better way to handle clutch pressure on the crankshaft, we'll consider it. We'd love to hear your ideas too!

We will offer custom flywheels for CISON L4 engine users, so they can upgrade their powertrain components.

So, is CISON power - shifting gearbox the right fit for your model car? Let us know what you think in the comments!
