Traction Hobby Cragsman C F150 1/8 2WD/4WD Climbing Car Electric Remote Control Car
Traction Hobby sets out to produce something the RC crawling world hasn't seen - a 1/8 sized crawler, larger than almost all scale crawlers in the market today.
Comparing to its predecessor 1/8 Founder Jeep, the chassis rails are now 1.2mm thick steel for strength and to keep it lightweight. A few parts have been redesigned and changed to strong plastic to keep the weight low and with a lower price point.
The new Cragsman uses a chassis mounted servo design (CMS) instead of axle mounted. It has a massive 83mm skid plate clearance with a wheelbase of 374mm and the axle clearance is 45mm.
Features:
1, Solid Structure
Chassis Frame: Multi-Connection design 1.2mm thickness formed steel. Suspension: Full metal alloy front and rear straight axle/non independent. Angle: Approach Angle: 63°/Departure Angle: 41°/Passing Angle: 52°. Shock Absorber: Metal adjustable hydraulic shock absorber with oil filling. Body shell: Traction Hobby design-PC split type shell(THO020 Cragsman C body set).
2, 2-Speed Transmission, 2WD/4WD Selection :
The main gearbox features a two speed transmission for Hi or Low gear selected by turning a knob on the 6-channel transmitter. On the transfer box it you can go 2WD or 4WD turning a button on the transmitter. Gear ratio is 2.6 on low and 1.8 on high.
3, Remote Locking Diffs
Remote Control Front and Rear Diff Locks. Cragsman makes you can lock and unlock the front and rear differentials to adjust your driving needs directly from your transmitter.
4, Aluminum Axles
The axle housings come standard in aluminum. The front and rear axles come out of two separate molds (read on to see why). It has plastic lockouts, C-hubs and knuckles which help reduce the weight of this beast. The C-hub and knuckle design have a 8 degree caster and an impressive 45 degree steering angle.
5, Transmission Gear Box, Counter-Rotation Transfer Case
The transmission gearbox has had an overhaul. The main transmission gearbox is no longer in the middle of the chassis as it is now moved to the front of the rig with the transfer box being a separate piece. The transfer case has a great feature already built: an opposite direction output drive (or counter-rotation transfer case) to help reduce torque twist found in many RC crawlers. This means the center drivelines now spin in opposite directions. This reduces torque twist to almost non-existence levels. This is the reason for having two molds for the axles as the bevel gears are in opposite reverse positions.
6, 6 Ch Radio
It comes with a 6-channel radio system that controls all these new features, including 2WD/4WD option, front and rear open/lock diffs, 2-Speed transmission, steering and throttle.
7, Body & Accessories
The Ford Raptor body is aggressive looking and the scale is superb. The body is made out of lexan and is lightweight. The main cab is held on by two magnetic stealth mounts at front and 2 body clip rear and the body parts are screwed in place, securely locks the body in place. The body comes with all light buckets for the front and rear headlights and taillights. They do not come with LEDs so you will need to add your own set of lights.
